Decompressor
 

Hi
The decompressor on my 1VJ has stopped working,all appears to be well with the cable,so it must be something inside the clutch cover,is the lever that comes through the casing the likeliest cause?or is anything else known to cause problems in this area?
I know I will have to open the casing anyway,but just thought Iwould see if anyone had any experience of this problem.

is the play of the upper lever o.k. (0.5 - 1 mm)?
dismount the small cover down on the engine side cover. is the lower lever properly fixed on the axle (is the m6-nut tightend)?
does the axle/the lever turn when you push the kick-starter? if the axle is turning, there is no problem inside.

Hi Klaus,
thanks for your reply,Ihave checked both ends of the cable and nothing moves at all
when the kickstart is operated ,so I will need to have a look inside to find the problem .
