did,nt start
 

So I ,m getting ready to go to work tonight and press the starter button on my 2002 xt 600 and nothing happens,all electrics are good so I try to bump it and then after two attempts I try again and it starts.........it has always sounded a bit weak at starting so any idea,s?....I think as it has 74000 kms maybe the starter is a bit shot or maybe a bad electrical connection somewhere so tomorrow I ll start looking but if any one has any tips then I,d love to hear them....cheers:scooter:

Check wiring, give al connections som special claeaner, or wd40. Meassure the voltage on the battery, it should be over 12v when the bike has sat for a while, actually perhaps closer to 13v than 12v.

Thén you can start to check the startermotor and so on, do the basics first. :)

Does your neutral lamp light? Does it helt to pull the clutch, is it better with sidestand up, an so on?
