Exhaust gaskets
 

I took my exhaust pipes off and they were done up with the wrong nuts and the 2 gaskets were missing which might explain the popping on decelleration.

I have ordered and received the nuts and gaskets today.
The gasket (3YF1461301) looks like copper, 3mm thick.
It looks symetrical but on closer inspection I can see it is bevelled on one side.

I am guessing the flat side fits against the cylinder head and the bevelled side fits into the exhaust pipes? Is that right?

the gaskets compress slightly when the header nuts are tightened so as long as they are done up properly (even pressure with the right amount of torque) it doesn't matter :innocent:
