Experiences & advices about fiberglass tanks?
I had only one - a french-made 20 litres that still sit on my XT500 from 1984 ..but I got a lot of critics from mechanics that stands for aluminium ones ...

Giorgio..Fiberglass or Plastic? Fiberglass shatters when you crash (low speed) spilling petrol all over your hot exhaust.
The handle bar went right through. Watching the petrol steam up over my early Ducati 750 sport because of a fiberglass tank not so good! It was one of those large capacity ones with the see through stripe, NCR style.
You dont know wether to try and save it or run away!
