@moosproof i think the carbs are right... i've cleaned everything.. still no juice... i'm going to se somebody to day to try and bring it back to life... thanks for all advice..
@mezo Yes. The filter is clean or should i say should be clean unless it somehow got dirty overnight since i cleaned it... frankly i have no clue. The thing is as moosproof said i know it ran... but now it doesnt even start.. it doesnt even try... i get no combustion... @turboguzzi I'm starting to understand that yes... and i am seriously considering trying to return it but a part of me want to bring it to life back again... Its just i'm lacking the knowledge... because if its carburator then i dont know... i took it apart 3 times already... There's something i'm missing (apart from years of experience).. I just want it to run... i dont plan to take it to the road... Right now i just want it to run... Aaaa!!!! :D You all must have been here probably a lot of times before... but its first for me and i'm hooked... There must be some stone age way to diagnose and repair it i just dont know it But anyways! Thank you all for your advice and your time so far! It gives me a nice feeling! Cheers |
!!!!!!!!!
It started!!!! Twice!!!! And now again!!!! Just as i am writing!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ! Yes!!!! |
Update...
So far it works!!! Yes!!! Spark plug is black so i assume i have to rich mixture? Breaks are basically nonexistent... But it runs! Good for a total noob :D Drive long and prosper :D HA!!!!!!! |
Now for the next step....
The brakes, so i can test it :) Will upload the progress! Cheers |
Well done Zimski!
If you want to get rid of it but can't return it, it should at least be easier to sell. @ Turboguzzi: Sure looks like a starter motor to me just there under the carb. |
you are right moss, seen the kick on the other side... rembered his leg was getting tired
zimski, now that you have you nice win against the engine, think again where are you going to ride that thing with no number plate.... one thing is to make an engine start, another is to make the bike road worthy.... and surely dont test the bike without working brakes. Still i would consider returning it, even if you get back from the guy not the full 700. let talk a few months from now, youll see why i am saying this :) in any case, kudos for getting it started |

I'm back senseis! :) plural of sensei :D
So... I'm still extatic about the fact that it runs!!! Me and my friend (on the picture) took the brakes apart, and went to order new brake pads for the front brakes... for the rear brakes i have to find new (used) master cylinder which i'm going to try my luck in italy in a junkyard for cars and stuff... I learned how to renew brakes, bleed and reverse bleed brakes... i learned that if i heat old copper washers and then dunk them in water i can use them again etc.. small little things but i love it!!!! And also my wish is to make electric start work because kickstarting is brutal... it almost took my leg off a couple of times... maybe i did something wrong... about this i would definitely appreciate some thoughts :) Other than that, Drive long and prosper! Thank you all for words of wisdom and your attention... :) |
what you did to the copper washers is called annealing, just make sure they dont have steps in them from over-tightening otherwise they will leak.
in order to save your leg, check/adjust your de-compressor system according to the manual. |
Thank you turboguzzi!!
I will most definitely check decompressor! |
Its me again...
After a couple of days of rest (tooth extraxtion back in action) Still waiting on brake pads, gaskets, fuel petcocks, Rear brake master cylinder... Fuel tank is repaired... so its going on... Now i have the next challenge and its already twisting my brains... I want to wire el ignition.. i bought a battery... i dont have ligjts yet, no horn no nothing... I found mezzo's wiring diagram but its too much for now... Can anybody advise me how to simply connect just so i can start with start button? Does anybody know amy great videos or step by step instructions? How should i get to it? Of course a total noob... but will get through this also... So please! Any advice much appreciated!!! :D Drive long and prosper! |
I found it... "bare bones" wiring should do the trick for starters...
? :) |
just use emergency cables and feed plus 12V to the wire of the starter motor and minus to the frame of the bike.
be careful that you dont have fuel dripping on something, because it will make some sparks. |
