Fork Oil change
 

Hi Guys

My first post and looking for some advice

I have just picked up a 2001 XT600e and would like to change the fork oil

Can you tell me if in need to remove the forks ? on the old 80s bike I had there was a drain plug on the bottom of the fork legs

Same old story: if you have the screw to remove oil, u don't need to remove legs, only handlebar to access top caps, otherwise wheel out and legs out....:thumbup1:

I noticed that there is a hex bolt on the bottom of the forkleg

I will get a workshop manual and have a look at the construction of the fork, I just thought it might have been an easy job
