I'm after either an original '86 Tenere part or something else that will fit with a bit of fettling (hole drilling) and preferably in white to save mucking about spraying.

Best source in the UK anyone ?

Cracked mine clean across after an off on the way to the Dragon earlier this month.

What colour are you after?

There are plenty of aftermarket ones available. I've got a Polisport one on my XT600. It looks OK buy if you want an original you'll struggle!!!

White. Rest of the machine is plain with just red fork gaiters and frame. I did pick up a Honda MX one up for just £5 but it is a pretty violent pink and I'm not sure I could take the abuse !

Pollisport you reckon, I know M and P stock them so I'll have a look. What mods did it take to fit ?

Have you still got the bits?
If so you could always melt them back together with a soldering iron.

No mods required - just 4 holes (use your old one as a template).

They have different styles too - just pick the one you like the best.
