Fuel Filter Xt600e

Hi Guys, anyone using a inline fuel filter on your XT600e? I had it on my TT600 with no problems. Any experiences on this? I dont trust the fuel here in SA!!!

i always use fuel filters on both my xt600e and my kmx200 even though the fuel in the uk is fine.

i used a clear bodied filter on the kmx200 when off roading we used to do quite a lot of river and deep water crossings and we used to get it wrong sometimes so it was quite handy to see if there was anything in the fuel that shouldn't be there.

This is interesting!

How about the inlet and outlet sizes should one get enough to avoid any fuel restrictions?

I can't see it making a lot of difference - even flat out, you'll only be using about 2 cc per second, so almost anything that will fit the pipe will flow enough fuel. I would guess that the key restriction is the ability of the filter itself to pass fuel through.
