H&B pannier-rack XT 600 Tenere 87 mod

I have this question about H&B pannier rack, I tried ordering one at a webshop but there will be a 5 month delay on the delivery because there was no one avalibe from the supplier. Can useone rack from a newer/older XT and which one ? If I need to modyfi it`s no problem.

What model is that, should be 1VJ, right? As far as I konw, Yamaha changed the entire rear between these 55W and 1VJ, and between the 34L/43F and 2KF, respectively. Which means you may be able to use a newer model (3AJ) for the 1VJ, but not for the 55W.

If you wait a week or two I will be able to answer that. I drive a 3AJ and will be getting a 34L/43F/55W Tesch rack in early August. I'll either have to fit the rack to my bike or, in case it won't work, fit the Tesch panniers to my existing rack.

The 1VJ rack is slightly differnt from the 3AJ where it is mounted on the pasanger footpegs.

It`s a 1vj, yes.
So I can get me one that fits a 3aj and it`s only a minor modification that`s needed to do.

I`ll check this up.
