help, id number
 

iv,e just got hold of a second hand frame, im planning to transfer my engine
and every thing else onto it as my current frame is rotting away..the problem is
the secondhand frame has no id number stamped into it..:helpsmilie: how do i go about getting the frame stamped/marked and any relevent paperwork sorted...:helpsmilie::helpsmilie:

Is the frame exactly like yours?

well.. there are two ways to do it...

One is to get the papers from the other frame and go to your governments official institution that works with licenses and stuff which you will have to do EVERYTHING AS IF you were just buying the bike from someone else and putting it in your name

OR

If it is, just have YOUR frame number printed on to the frame... use a dremel and grind the number there and with the apropriate tool just (usually jewelry stores have these tools) and stamp YOUR frame number on to the new frame....
