Help required from someone with workshop manual
Gday All,
As you've probably read in the 'Started Smoking' thread, I'm about to try and replace a suspect valve guide seal in the engine of my bike. I've ordered a workshop manual off of E-Bay, which is hopefully on it's way from the United States. I wish to replace the seal this coming weekend, but i'm unsure if the manual that I've ordered will make it on time. I was wondering if someone could please copy / scan / write down the info that I need out of their workshop manual. All I need to know are three things... 1. the torque values and the pattern in which bolts should be torqued on the rocker cover; 2. the type of sealant I should be using to seal the rocker cover; and 3. The torque value for the 4 exhaust manifold studs. Thanks very much in advance, Dan. |

its a site dedicated to the TTR but go there and click the link on the left "technik" - select from the drop down menu "tt600r" at the bottom of the page is the official yamaha shop manual in english (pdf file about 10 mb) for the TT600re its the same engine as yours.. has all the torque values and a bunch of other useful info Best of luck |
Thanks very much Laromo.
Exactly what I needed. You are a champion! Dan. |
Well, my proper XT600 workshop manual from the United States rolled up yesterday. It's the same type of manual as the TTR one that Laromo pointed me to, but obviously with the extra stuff that's applicable to the XT.
If anyone needs any info from a proper XT manual, just ask and I will try and help out. Cheers, Dan. |
