Hi, new XT 600 owner
 

Hey folks,

I'm just new to the forum but I've a confession to make- I've been lurking for a couple of weeks. Thanks to old threads on valve clearance and engine troubles I've managed to get a 1986 XT 600 Tenere 1jv model running again.

I've done the valves but for the life of me I couldn't get it to start. Read through a few threads and tried a new spark plug, away it went on the second kick!

Recently purchased the bike for 500 squid and I intend to do it up and take it overland summer 2011!

Thanks again and I'm sure I'll be contributing more in the weeks, months ahead!
