japanese yens?
Hi all. does anyone know if 35,280 japanese yens means 35 thousand or just 35yens and 280"cents" ??
|
It's as you read it,35 thousand 280 yen.
35 yen wouldn't buy you much ;) |
Not necessarily..... they put the comma in odd places. They often leave a zero off the end so its very confusing if you are looking at web prices. If you are looking at Japanese bike prices, they won't be massively different to where you are - so if they look either 10 times too much, or too little.... you've probably got it wrong !
|
yeah, it's all about the commas ......
here, check this site and tell me if what I see is "thousand" or just a few yen: WR250F : WR450F 00-04 ZETA:ƒW[ƒ^ ƒnƒ“ƒhƒ‹ƒo[ƒNƒ‰ƒ“ƒvƒLƒbƒgSX ’Ê”Ì it's probably "thousand" but you'll never know :innocent: |
Thats twenty three thousand, one hundred yen.
There is another price in red above that saying 21,945,it looks like thats the discounted price (the 5% off bit in red). If it was a few yen,the comma would be in front of the 3,making it 2,310 yen.Very cheap :D |
that's what I thought.. it's cheaper on fleabay lol xD
Thanks anyway ;P Vando :cool4: |
considering its 214yen to the pound at the moment, i would think its thousands wouldnt you?

I think Davsato is right ..... get the calculator out and see whether it makes sense first. I do not believe you will get a WR450 for £100... not even in Japan. Best ask a Japanese person - and probably best not to post the question on the Yam Tech Forum !!! It says they won't sell abroad anyway.....
The North Asia moderator lives in Japan I think.... he will be able to explain it better. |

They're Zeta top triple clamps, not a whole bike! The Zeta stuff is good quality Japanese made and pretty well priced. |
