Hi all
Has any fitted a Loobman oiler to their bike, and if so what do you think. How do they compare to Scottoilers?

I have no experience of Scottoiler so I can't compare, but my Loobman is excellent. Just remember to use it (it's easier than you would think to forget until your'e well into that wet ride). XT600E chain and sprockets still very good at 10,000 miles on Loobman, all weather riding. The only thing you have to maintain is the two fingers which touch the sprocket - but these are just cut down cable ties and therefore cheap. When you get the package it looks very complicated - don't panic, it all comes together.
Go for it and find a use for those left over bits of gear and engine oil.

i have just put a scottoiler on my 660 tenere and it seems to work great chain nice and lubed up but not to much

Hi, I've just done 6500 Kms with a loobman and the first thing on my 3AJ was that the wire mounting supplied is a bit usless so I've made an aluminium bracket to hold the head to the rear sprocket. While doing the trip so far about every 300 kms the pipe connected to the head on the sprocket keeps working loose and coming out no matter how you tighten it. Still for the money who complaining, anyway it does the job with a few hassles.

I've got one fitted on my XT600E and driving on the flat it works great. Unfortunately I live at an altitude of 400m and every time I take a trip down to the coast, it drips a lot of oil. My hubby says the first one was a bit fiddly to fit, but he's got one on his bike too and the second one was a lot easier.

Loobman's are good for the price, i think £16 not as good or as hard wearing as a scotoiler but good anyway, the only thing is the wire and dispersing end can be destroyed easily and gets covered in mess.
Make sure you put in chain saw oil as if you add gear box oil it will flick all over after a good squeeze of the bottle.
