Loose hose???

Just found a small bore plastic hose coming from a small unit in the fuel system, there are two fuel hoses attached to this, one to the main fuel line supply from the tank to carb, the other to the top of the float chamber. Thers is no obvious place to connect this, nothing showing in the manual, Seems too small for a breather/overflow. Any help appreciated.

Thanks for your help, it is an '88 600Z, the pipe has only around a 2mm bore.

fuel pump

it's a fuel pump, vacum operated

the extra hose goes to the intake rubber on one of the carbs is it's not blocked off

does it look like this:

That's the one, one of the thick hoses goes to the fuel suppy 'T' piece, the other to just above the float chamber, but where does the micro bore one go??.
