Mirror extenders.

If any of you are broad shouldered and notice that you cannot see much else in your mirrors other than your shoulders, mirror extenders are brilliant.
Only recently found out about them.

Those and the bigger front footrests were a couple of low cost modifications that really make riding the XT more pleasurable.

Interesting. Do you have any pics?

I had the same problem. Could not find any "usable" mirrors in the local shops. Ended up making my own mirror out of two stock ones....

Don't they vibrate like hell?

Where did you get the extenders from?

Here is a link so you can see what I am talking about.

mirror extender items - Get great deals on Vehicle Parts Accessories, Honda items on eBay UK!

I got the black ones to go with the black mirrors.
It's a simple idea and extends the mirrors about another 30mm to the side which is just right so they don't stick out further than the bar end weights.

There is no more vibration than normal.

I did not get mine from ebay, I Googled it and bought from a shop but they were about the same price. You may be able to find them for a couple of quid cheaper somewhere.

Heers a direct link: 10mm Motorcycle Mirror Riser Extender Adapter Yamaha on eBay (end time 08-Oct-10 17:31:45 BST)

Remeber to buy 10mm yamaha speciific. The right mirror has reverse thread, so that it breaks loose if you crash, instead of it snapping of.
