New carb for the XT600

Hello folks!

I have a XT600 43F (1986) and because the original Teikei carburetor is heavily worn out and it makes no financial sense to rebuild it, I'm thinking about fitting an another carburetor.
Good used original one is rare and very very expensive.

So I searched through various pages and in the end, I'm consdering these two carbs:

Keihin CVK30 from Ninja 250 (maybe the same as ZZR or GPX?)
Mikuni BSR32 from Suzuki XF650 Freewind

In this forum I saw few comments that people made the carb conversion.
Is there anybody who has experiece with using either of these?
Could anyone share some info - what were the biggest issues? Was re-jetting necessary?
Which of these might be better option? I'm little bit worried about the size of Freewind's carb if they fit into the frame of a 43F...

I can buy a card from Freewind easily for aroud 100€.
Those from Ninja 250 are harder to get here in Europe (maybe it's the same on GPX or ZZR or even KLE250?), but also somehow possible to get them.

Thanks for any answers, hints and experience in advance!

BR, Martin

hi
having more or less same issue with my carbs, to the slide side particularly.
i was suggested to consider this option from raptor - https://www.ebay.com/itm/266347835292
haven't decided anything so far but for now (subjectively) the biggest issue would be not having a slide carb.

1st availability of carbs might depend on where you are, but we have no idea, put it in your signature (unless you are afraid we'll come to steal your bike)

i dont know of anybody current in THIS forum making the conversion, but take into account that this place is almost dead for years now, so not much chance of getting a proven answer IMHO.

or maybe try to PM the people who made the comments here about conversion???? maybe they are still alive :)

for the yamaha raptor quad, which essentaily used a similar engine to yours, the chinese carb copies are easy to find and there is some evidence they work see here:

otherwise, I suggest you register also to advrider xt or tenere uk forums, much more traffic there.
