Oil level stick melted, how possible?
I just changed the oil on my 3AJ of 1989.
When I bought the bike a few times ago I saw the oil stick was broken so I ordered a new one from Yamaha. Now when looking with a lamp in the empty oil tank I discovered the remainings of the stick, it looked completely melted. Does anyone know how this is possible with a 3AJ having the largest oil cooler of all and the plastic stick normally made to stand much heat.. On the engine I see no signs of overheating. Hope someone knows...! Cheers, Matt |
Maybe the previous owner rode it through Chernobyl/the bike was abducted by a UFO and experimented on/ or maybe its just one of lifes big mysteries like who built stonehenge and why bay city rollers dropped off the hit lists.... ummm... i need my medication http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/ubb/confused.gif
