Oil Quantity??
 

I am preparing to perform my first oil change on my 95 xt600. I would just like to confirm the oil quantity as the manual is fairly vague. It states 2.7L for a periodic oil change, 2.8L with an oil filter change and 3.3L as a Total amount. If I am only draining the system with the two oil plugs and not replacing the filter I guess I would add 2.7L. When would it be necessary to add 3.3L.

After a complete engine strip-down. Then all the oil chanels and tubes are empty.
For a change (without the filter) take the 2.7.
