Overfilled Oil
 

I recently acquired an Xt600 1995 Model. On checking the oil the oil shows about an inch over the 'F" Mark. When checking the oil i check it after a long ride, after letting it idle for a minute before turning it off. Should i be concerned and if so how do go about draining some oil from the dry sump.

if it is only 25.4 mm it will do no harm.
in the worst case it will soak the air filter.
easiest would be to perform an oil change or -if you are short in money- at least drain all the oil and refill the correct amount.
