pictures of 55W
 

Howdy all, wondering if anyone can send me a link to a picture of the 85 model (55W) XT600 Tenere. I have an 83 model (34L) and would like to know the differences.

you won't see any difference on a photograph.
difference are very minor:
-different rims
-chain tensioner is on the outside of swingarm
-only long seat (34l was originally delivered with two seats, long and short)

forgot: front fork/brake, rear shock are also different (same size but different manufacturer).

Thanks for the photos - Even though the changes were minor the 55W is a superior bike to the 34L in my opinion. What years were this made.
I think 34L 83/84
and 55W only in 85 is this right?
