Plastic "AirScoop" required
 

Hi, I have bought a 1991 US/Japanese ? import XT600E - and now require a LHS airscoop (the plastic bit on the side of the tank). My one is grey - see attached image. I am having difficulty sourcing one of these either in the UK or in the US. Does anyone have any clues that might pin down its origins and possibly where to get another one? Cheers

This is my local Yamaha dealer in Adelaide, South Australia.
A few years back i rebuilt a 79 model DT250 and it was amazing the sort of spares that these guys had sitting on the shelf for such an old bike.
It might pay to drop them an e-mail and just ask. They have all sorts of old and obscure parts in their store.

I did try a few Yamaha dealers ...
Now have found one - JTS MotorCycles in Swansea - that are coming up with the part. Search over.
