poor carb?
 

Hello. New to this forum having just bought 91 XT600E (previously owned 1978 xt500 beast - and still carry the scars on my leg!)

Anyway the thing runs very poor. OPening the throttle more than 25% it just dies. Removing air cleaner helps a bit. Do the rubber CV carb diaphrams wear? I cannot see any faults, have stripped the carbs and replaced spark plug.

Bike only has 25000km.

PS its an Australian model - are they different (slower ) than UK?
