Problem to turn engine with el-start and kick.
 

I have a 87 mod and when I use the el-start it hardly cranks, way to slow to get it running. When I use the kick starter I use a lot of power to make it turn around, after some kicks it looses up and it`s like normal and the bike starts easy.

Any idea what`s wrong ?

Weak or too small battery ??

Voltage loss through bad connections ??

Try it with a larger 12v battery hooked up with jump leads.

Have new battery and have tried with a bigger, same problem.
It feel like i turn everything in the engine when I use the kick starter, and I use a lot of power to make it turn, after a few kicks it loosen up and it no resistance on the kick and it starts easily and runs normaly.

You could check the starter clutch mechanism.

I'm not sure what system you have in there though.

Clutch sticking, gasolin in the cylinder, never changed the engine oil, to much engine oil

your valves could be sticking...

Does the bike run at all?

Hm, I have to check up the starter clutch, maybe something is stuck in there.

Should I take of the cover and have a look when I try to start ? Is there any springs that is pushing the gears in right position that I should look for ?

Have you tried pulling in the clutch while you try to start the bike?

See if there is a difference & let us know.
