rear suspension play...
 

my '86 ten has a noticable amount of play at the end of the swing arm (1.5-2mm, the max alowed in the manual is 1mm). ive replaced all the bronze/solid bushes and bearings, and also the shaft through the shock/linkage joint (no bearing here, how odd)and the shaft through the linkage to swing arm joint. these last two seem to be the source of the play. as ive replaced all but the linkage itself any ideas on what next or is it time for a new lingage casting ? i presume there should b some play in all joints anyway to allow for grease and expansion? any help appreciated, ta.

My experience: after replacement of all expensive wear parts still play. Have been riding happily ever after. Don't worry, the 1 mm max play only applies in Japan where gravity is different :-)
