Kentfallen, on another note. What shade of blue is your XT?
In the parts catalogue it states 2 colours,
A 0564 Yamaha black or B 0033 deep purplish blue metallic

Mine is neither, it is an uninteresting mid blue.

The "uninteresting" blue was the 2001 model :nono:
OR they have either, been painted another blue OR have been sunbathing for too long...

It was advertised by the dealer as a 2003.

On the V5 it was first registered in the UK in 2003.

I rang a parts department and gave them my VIN and model label (under seat) and he informed me it is a 2002 model and the destination country was France.

The parts catalogue I am using in from August 2001.

I tried to attach a couple of pics but apparently the files are too big.
