xt600 3aj
hi everybody!
new to his forum and fairly new to the motorcycle world (except for the old tomos apn6 which i had since i was little boy). so i bought myself my first motorcycle and am trying to get a hang of it (get it to work basically) it is xt600 3 aj on 1vj frame.. thats what i managed to figure out so far. the plastics and lightd are also from 3vj and dont fit. so i'm just trying to wrap my head around this bike... i could've take it back to the seller but i just kind of fell in love with it and would like to repair it. do anyone know what are the questions which i should ask myself that would help me with this project... which answers i need... so u figured out with a coulple of friends that spark is ok, compression to... i took it for a ride... it worked... then when i turd it of it would start agan.. only after 10 min + of kick starting it it would work agan etc.... so any advice well appreciated! :D sorry for the rambling but i am really excited about this (my first bought) bike :D also if anybody can send me a copy of repair manual that would be great! best regards from slovenia |

definitely not bad to have open eyes... its just that the world seems so big when you first open them :) because it definitely was an eye opener buying this bike... :D |

Hi all,
Sorry to bump up this. Yesterday I bought a 3aj and it has a bad side stand switch contact, but everything ran well if it stayed alive in gears. After several hours happy run it started cutting off fire intermittently. So I suppose the side stand switch is the first I have to pay attention. I have searched the internet and found it's quite difficult to have English version 3aj service manual. The only luck is I found people here are discussing and sharing it. :) I would be more than happy if you could do me a big help on the service manual and parts list :helpsmilie: Deeply thank you in advance!!! |
