Replacement tachometer
 

The tacho on my '84 XT600 is completely busted, beyond fixing and am looking to replace it with the tacho from a DT125/175 as it is the only replacement I can find that is cheap and suitable enough. The problem is that I will probably not get the right rev reading as the DT tacho is marked up to 12000rpm. Any advice on this issue?

hi as its a yamaha tacho the ratio should be the same (i cant remember if its 1-3 or 1-4 ratio) it will just not use the section above about 7000 rpm i think this is correct ? maybe others will confirm or not ? steve

Thanks for the info. It looks exactly the same as the original apart from small color differences and the dial going up 12000rpm.
