Replacing Final Drive Oil Seal
The final drive oil seal on my 3AJ has gone and needs replacing.
I can't find a reference to replacing this in my Clymer manual, except as part of a engine rebuild. Is this a simple job of removing the sprocket, pulling out the old one and pushing the new one back in or does it get more complicated than that? Geoff |
Yes it's as simple as that. But make sure that everything is really clean. Mine was also leaking sometime but the problem was that the protecting cover was dented, I just removed it and flattened it and all was ok.

Thanks a lot Fred,
I'll give it a try over the weekend. Geoff |
Be carefull with bearing behind, most of all don't scratch the case surface, scratch=leak.
