Replacing Final Drive Oil Seal

The final drive oil seal on my 3AJ has gone and needs replacing.

I can't find a reference to replacing this in my Clymer manual, except as part of a engine rebuild.

Is this a simple job of removing the sprocket, pulling out the old one and pushing the new one back in or does it get more complicated than that?

Yes it's as simple as that. But make sure that everything is really clean. Mine was also leaking sometime but the problem was that the protecting cover was dented, I just removed it and flattened it and all was ok.

Thanks a lot Fred,
I'll give it a try over the weekend.

Be carefull with bearing behind, most of all don't scratch the case surface, scratch=leak.
