speed wobble
I have just bought a '98 xt600e.
At 100 km/h, it develops a terrible wobble. Is it the tyres? I am approx 115kg heavy, and have continental twinduro. rear is 140/80 (TRC80) on a 17" wheel. any suggestions? edited: i think i have possibly found the problem. the back wheel, i notice seems to be badly damaged (buckled) will see to that, and see how it behaves afterwards [This message has been edited by macduff (edited 22 January 2005).] |
check your wheel bearings

Also check steering bearings, tyre pressures, tyre wear & the rear shock for damping failure if the rear wheel is not to blame.
