spluttering xt
 

my xt600e 4pt is going fine upto about 3/4 throtle .if i give it full throtle it stuters and wants to go stower or feels like it wants to dye.any ideas.i have tryed carb cleaner.

Sounds like fuel starvation - check any in-line filters, check flow from tank -dirt blocking tap and breather on filler cap. Drain carb as a starting point.... & if this lot don't work, its carb off & a thorough clean - carb cleaner will not remove muck from the jets & bits!

Hi if the bike feles like its running out of fuel at high revs it may be the small filter inside the carb is blocked. You need to remove the float and undo the philips screw pull out the brass bit the float needle sits in and you will find the small filter either clean it or throw it away.

sorted the problem after a few scary overtaking moves in mexico.i was getting a week signal to my spark plug.i just cleened all electrical contacts and it seems to be going well even improved my MPG
