STOLEN - XT600 ZE Tenere Reg F461 GNW
 

hi guys
i know this is a bit of a downer but i just had my new XT stolen. It was being kitted out & had just had a remus exhaust & stainless steel front pipes, renthal red bars & new cables etc (thats all you can tell externally). the bike is white tank & farings with a red frame with loads of chesterfield stickers all over it. I dont think it was kids as the locks (4 of them) were taken too & suspect a van lift, so can you guys keep an eye out for any parts or 3AJ engines coming onto the market.

the bike was stolen from HEBDEN BRIDGE in WEST YORKSHIRE on 23/01/08 at aboud 2pm.

ps...not insured....lost quite a bit on this one!

pps: If its someone you know, please can i have it back. be creative

Report it to the police anyway - they may get someone for this!

Not insured, as in no TPFT cover, or not covered because "it was outside when it should have been inside" or ...........

it was sorned at the time I guess.

BTW, your date is wrong: unless you are forecasting what is going to happen tomorrow!!:rolleyes2:

Sorry about the date, it happened today & still feeling a bit off colour, wish me luck for when i tell my wife.....
It wasn't insured as i was building it up for a stint in N Africa...but called the police & local 'grey' market dealers for a heads up

which means I'm in the market for a new bike, any offers? would prefer a 3AJ but interested in anything at this point as i have to get moving on sorting paperwork out for a trip.

The good news is that the rack & panniers weren't fitted yet so should be easy to mod onto a new steed.

Teneres are a bit rare of course but good luck with looking for one - if it really has to be another!!!:rolleyes2:
They come up on ebay occasionally, but there are far more XTs, for instance.

I know it doesn't help but big, big sympathies.
Fingers crossed you get some good news about it.

Sorry to hear that you lost your bike. I lost one of my bikes a couple of years back,the frame was found in a ditch one month later totaly stripped.How fun wouldn´t be to get the stealing bastards alone in a room, and use the stuff in the toolbox in crative ways:hammer:
