Just re-read this and the original post mentions" international insurance card" needed.Is this a Green card? My insurance company does'nt issue them so maybe a slight hiccup.
Anyone else travelling down? Andy |
green card, driving licence, id-card
@Andy
You only need a "greeen card" to drive on the moto-cross course. That is to make sure your bike is insured. I heard that in GB there are no more "green cards". If you have anything else to let us know your bike is insured, it will be no problem to go onsite. With or without the "green card", there will be enough other things to do. Maybe you want to make a test-drive with the new XT660Z Ténéré. Then you need a valid driving licence and an id-card. :innocent: |
Thats good news,I don't think I'll be taking to the motorcross track, the old girl wouldn't take it well!!!
Very few, if any insurance companies in the UK issue Green cards now.Saying that their Insurance document is enough proof. Andy |
So tempting
I came back to Ireland from the States to sort out a visa, wasn't intending to hang around, but this sounds like a "must do".
Couldn't think of a better thing to do before I head back. I'd be doing it on a true shoestring budget. Would be cool to hook up with somepeople on the way. I just need tyres. |
XT Girls had fun!!
Guys!!
We just HAD to come back and congratulate the organisers on a FANTASTIC event... and ofcourse, let everyone from the UK know what they missed!!! Apart from coming back from the event, completely educated and deeply soaked in Tenere culture... we had looooaaads of fun. Not to mention, that some of the guys, actually let us ride their bikes... now THAT is brave!! I've done a quick write-up (XT Girls style... be warned, its tongue-in-cheek, so don't get all serious about it!) and will be posting our videos and pictures soon. Click on the thumbnail, to take you to the write-up. |
