to buy or not to buy?
Hi,
Seriously thinking bout buying this XT... http://img.2dehands.be/f/preview/863...aha-xt600e.jpg yamaha xt 600 e, 10/2002,14567km, leovince exhaust, new front tyre, recently done:changed oil filters, new brake-blocs, new spark plug, valves adjusted. Asking price is 2500 euro What do you guys think? |
I'd buy it. Try and haggle the price down a bit though - €2000 is more like it, I reckon.
|
Where is it ???
I can tell you that in the UK, that bike is worth no more than 1500 pounds. From a dealer maybe approaching 2000. Its exactly the same as the one I did South America on. They're good bikes but do consider the much more efficient and road happy Xt660R for not that much more money.. Ted |

The XT600 that I used burned about 1 litre for every 160km. The 660R will be MUCH better for this and considering the miles, it will pay for itself.. I've JUST arrived in South Africa after riding from the Uk and If I had to chose a bike, id DEFFO get the newer 660R !! The roads are LONG..... :scooter: Either way.... Both are great bikes ! You're gonna have a blast ! :) |
dont know much about the bike prices over there but i would give a big thums up to the 600e real work horse. the 660 is XT in name only

Hi zjwannie if you dont buy that xt, mine's for sale
2007 xt 600 11,000 klm good condition in darlington uk acerbis tank arrow exhaust renthal bars acerbis hand guards touatech bash plate + rear rack center stand did wheels tyres are good and just been serviced £2400 ben |
That bike is worth a max of £1,600 in a private sale. Expect to pay up to £2,000 in a dealer sale. This one looks like a pretty good example. Well worth a look I'd say...
OR Make Ben a realistic offer of £2,000 for a late adventure ready XT6. lol |
