TT600RE help.
 

im rebuilding a bike for a very long trip, im searching the internet a lot for helpfull answers but still not sure with few questions, hope you will help:)

1. engine, i want to change the whole engine(some threads broken etc..) but dont know which engine will fit, my search had led me to 3tb(5'th gear problem fixed?). is the 3tb engine what im looking for?

2. my tt600re carburetor is broken(there is a crack inside..), and im not sure if xt600 carb will fit? what carb would fit instead of the original one? would you recommend mikuni flatslide(too expensive but.. maybe).

4pt engine is the one with upgrade on 5th gear and better fixing to frame on top end.

if i buy this one,what do you think does it need any further 'openings' or 'reparations'? i mean, what if this engine has sat a long time and wasnt 'started', can there be any 'damage' because of that? its 1995 year and looks like new on the photos.

Would be nice if they can provide you with compression test, dont know this company and its hard to tell history of the engine. Shipping price will be insane to your country, search ebay germany or others here in europe.

there is this guy selling his motor for 200e here in Crete! has 18k on it and says it's on full working order!

You found same engine for 650? Well what happens will he sell you the engine for 200 or is it fake seller? Nickargas cant you help him here and call this shop and ask if they have this engine for sale and the post on FB for 200?

guy took the photo from the internet and put his price on, i think he didnt had any of his own photos and put that one. there is a little link on the upper left corner of the photo, thats how i have found the 'original' one. i dont know what engine does he have, but he wont sell it to me anyway:mchappy:

i have TT600RE model, not TT600R which is TCI :)

so TTR was until 2003 when TTRE came out(with electrostarter and without ohlins rear shock)

From the 1990s the XT600E have TCI, did you get the engine?

Ya, that's what I was thinking . Any motor past the 3AJ went to TCI , our '90-'95 XT600E ( 3TB ) are , only the kicker motors were cdi plus the estart 3AJ and maybe the 2KF's(?) .

That motor in the US here would be a good one , the seller isn't one of the shady guys but it'll cost $300usd to ship over there . Another option would be to just rebuild the TT motor using 4PT tranny and top valve cover , otherwise everything else is the same and no benefit from a whole motor.

I have a spare 3TB that could be sent but again shipping would cost plus the motor . I'd have to change the tranny gears if the newer ones are wanted .
