TT600RE - Normal running temp.
 

Does anyone know what the normal running Temp is for the TT600RE ??

Can't seam to find it in the workshop manual.....

I would imagine it's the same across the 600 airhead range (TT600, XT600), but I could be wrong

Should be like most bikes out there... around 80 +/- 10 ºC I guess

I assume you're talking about oil temperature..

I had an oil temp guage on my XT600E and the oil temp used to be around 90c while urban riding in the UK.

In South America, it ran at 120c at times. A little worrying but fine with modern semi or fully synthetic oils.

Yup, they get hot on the interstat aswell.

My buddy had a little car once, the oil temp on that showed red at 140 celcious.

So I would worry too much.

I,m with touring ted,I have the oil temp gauge and a hot day will take it to 100 easy....
