TTR600 Engine model identification?
 

Hi, daft question maybe, but what engine code is the TTR600RE 2004?

And if its uniquely coded, what is the code for the engine it is most like - the early 90's XT600? Its confusing everyone talking about 3AJ and 43F etc???

It'll help me sourcing engine parts if I know. :confused1: Thanx

Pigford, I am no great expert but it is my understanding that the TT600RE has the same engine as the XT600E “TB3” model, made from 1990 to 1995(and available longer in some contrys).

The best way is to give the chasis number when ordering parts this should tell the dealer if the bike is a UK model or import.

G600, thats the sort of data I was after. If I need to do some repairs, it'd be good to know what second hand "older" (read: cheaper) stuff I can track down. Also - if I want to do the kickstart mod in the future.

The TTR600RE stuff seems pricey, coz it was a short-run model, so as with most supply & demand senario's, these things get bumped up in price! So, for eg: if the gasket set is the same as an older model (TB3), it could well be cheaper!?!
