ttr600re v ttr600r
hi guys
I own a ttr600re electric start model...ive currently fitted the longer front forks and ohlins rear shock into my re from the belgarda model..also fitted supermoto wheels which have black excel rims and gold talon hubs...rims are currently away being anodised gold..also have fitted red/white body kit from the 99 euro model.. here is a pic showing the gold excel rim I fitted from an xr650 to have a look at what they will look like im also going to fit a complete upside down front end from a wr400/450 Yamaha.. has anyone ridden both the electric and kickstart models...is there much difference in power and torque... I bought a kickstart model to swap over the suspension but as it was a non runner I never got to ride it... is the main differences in the two bikes in the cylinder head, cdi, carb etc http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...0/DSCF2599.jpg http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...0/DSCF2585.jpg |

Hi
Superb looking bike you've got there. The only difference in riding the two is the belgarda is far better suspended as it were. Any other difference is imperceptible. Personally I stuck with the belgarda for simplicity. Properly set up and maintained, they start first kick every time and run like clockwork. Best mod for the ttr is a decent end can, it gives it a fair bit more grunt and it just seems to run more freely. Sounds good too :thumbup1: |
Nice looking bike.
The TT600RE has the engine from a 1990-1995 XT600E. From memory, the TTR600 has: A lighter crankshaft. Narrower engine by about 30mm Different internal gearing (gearbox) CDI ignition vs TCI, and possible “wire mod” for more power. You already know all about the suspension and the rear wheel. I don't really remember the difference in power/torque since my buddy sold his TTR600 long before I bought the TT600RE. Hard to compare unless ridden back to back. |
