unidentified (none) flying object
Hi all !
I was looking around an "s" registered xt600e, which i think is 1998 year ? Anyway whilst comparing it with my own younger model, I noticed it had a black oblong rubber gizmo on top of (and attached to) the right hand rubbber air intake. It looks like its original fitment, but i couldnt find it on the parts diagram. Should of really took a photo at the time, cos its bothering me as to what it does and why its there. Anybody seen this part ? and can put me out of my misery ?:confused1: Cheers Bill |
It looks like a small "airbox" that fits on top of the rubber boot right?
If I recon well it is there to enrichen the fuel mixture but someone more into that could probably correct me if I am wrong... And it, it's an OEM standard fitment on some countries because of emissions control I believe... Vando :cool4: |
Hi Vando !
I thought it looked like original equipment and yes it probably is some sort of emissions thing. Should of satisfied my curiosity when I had the chance and looked under the seat, maybe the sticker that shows its country of origin is still there. Never crossed my mind that it could be an import.
