I hope he sent you oil for the filter or i would prefer the aftermarked filters you bought.

And reoil it after 100 to 150 miles. The oil is what does the dirt trapping. A filter skins would be a requirement for me to run a K&N( even a standard filter would benifit in dusty conditions).
