WANTED a generator coil pack for a 1984 XT600

Wonder if anybody can tell me where I can source a Generator Coil Pack for a XT600 1984 model as my bike died on me the other day and have been told that this has burnt out.

Need one desperatly as I use this bike everyday to get to work.

Any help greatly appreciated

I think it's proper name is a Stator, the one I have has 7 wires coming out of it. I've been quoted £475 for a new one, does this seem right and does it have to be year and model specific.

I've used West Country windings on quite a few occasions over the years,with good results,they are pretty helpful and can usualy quote you the resistance values you should have on an item before you send it..
I started using them after having a few new electrex items which didnt work from new,which sort of pisses you off badly as it takes hours to get to the bottom of problem..
