what kind of bags for xt600z
 

i want to travel the outbacks on my tenere. dont like the top box as the bike gets buffeted in big winds(my cbr1000 has it and it tends to act as a sail floating the bike). wat kind of soft bag system(like ventura )can i use?or wat is the best option?aluminium boxes? where can i source this in nsw?. help needed pls

I have melted side panels and burnt sioft panniers on my bike a couple of times now so Alu boxes for me every time.

I have Ventura kit for my Triumph bikes, but the L-bars are not available for the 3AJ. I have thought about perhaps frabricating the L-bars out of another bike's cheap Ebay offering, but not followed up on this yet.

Given where you are, I would have thought Gearsack was worth investigating?

A slightly different tact, Bagster still have the tank cover available for the 3AJ, and offer a number of tank bags to fit. A bit pricey, but an additional option.
