WHEEL BEARINGS
Thanks for the help, not.Amount of oil was just short of 2 litres. After service, modified baffle ,LRP fuel and 500 mile weekend spin, performance has improved considerably. There is still a flat spot in low revs after about 30 miles driving but it improves with time, just needs a major carb overhaul
.Top gear is a bit snatchy from low revs, clutch slips a bit in top but as the bike was standing for some stage of its life, I think this will improve with time and the more use it gets.Is there an adjustment on the clutch itself rather than just the cable? It easily cruises at 80mph,two up,with a little clutch slip when you try to wind it from there. Can anyone tell me the numbers for the rear wheek bearings, please? So far my ZXR750 is enjoying its rest from the wet and cold, thanks to the XT. |
hi, have u tried M+P for wheel bearings?they`ve got tenere and xt600e bearings off the shelf(i just replaced my front ones, £4.75ea) and they are good sealed bearings.M+P 08705 703030.alternatively, just tell a bearing supplier that you need a pair of bearings 17mm I.D. 40mmO.D. and 12mm Depth, all bearing races are pretty standard sizes and easy to get hold of.
