XT 600 Tenere 34L Hot Start Difficulty

I wonder if anyone has any tips. My 34L starts perfectly when cold but having ridden for a while and then stopped - the bike becomes very difficult to start. A mate mentioned that the trick was to open the throttle slightly or turn up the idle screw - but in my case this is not a guarantee.

The bike runs like a dream - and it used to start typically with the first kick. What is incorrectly adjusted ?

Yes, very very difficult

This is the pilot jet adjustment. See other posts for proper setting.
Also, as a help, increase the idle speed a bit.

When kickstaring, do not touch the throttle. Firmly grasp the grip with the throttle closed and the front brake engaged. Then start.

Typically, if it starts when cold, even without choke and difficult when hot, the pilot screw adjustment is slightly rich. If it start easily when hot, it may be a touch too lean.
