XT engine prefix "49R" - what year?
 

Hi all

I am being offered a kickstart "XT" engine with prefix 49R. No other info on the engine and I can't seem to find this prefix listed anywhere.

Any ideas what this engine might have come out of originally? Also where does it fit in the xt600.de 'engine swap' chart?

Is it possible the engine prefix is hard to read and it has been mis-read as "49R" instead of '43F' of 1984-6 vintage???
