Xt600
Hi Guys I got a 94 XT 600 e that was ridden from Germany to South Africa. Does anybody have a workshop manual? It is sounding a bit rough and noisy and I want to set inlet and outlet manifolds (tappits) - can anybody tell me the settings?
Also, Do I have to take out engine to change timing chain or can I leave it in and still change the chains? A workshop manual would be great... |
I've downloaded one from inhere. its called "Yamaha-XT600E-Factory-Workshop-Manual"
I bet you can find it if you search. :D Keep us posted :mchappy: |
I haven't changed a timing chain, but the cylinder head can be removed with the engine in the frame, so I would think so.
The tappet settings are: inlet 0.05 to 0.10 mm (2 to 4 thou) exhaust 0.12 to 0.17 mm (5 to 7 thou). Engine at TDC on compression stroke, cold. |
You can get a 1990 version off my website - Moto AndalucĂa
It can take a while to download as it's a big file. |
