xt600 newbie
 

recently bought a 89 xt600 here in the states.seems the stateside bikes are different than the european models. mine is a jya3ew. are the geaboxes better on these? my fuel mileage is awesome, 60- 70 mpg.15-45 gearing which i guess is better for the gearbox. i love this bike. oh yeah this is the best xt forum i find on the web. just confused how my model relates to the euro versions

If I remember correct there was a couple of guys here not so long ago talking about the diffrence between US and European models.

Go back trugh the treads and you will find it. I think it´s mostly brakes that are diffrent. Seems like you guys stuck with the reardrum brake longer than we did.
