XT600E default sprocket size
 

Hi,

Im a new owner of a Yamaha XT 600 E 2001 model :)

I noticed that my bike feels a little low geared and im not sure whether the sprockets are changed by the previous owner to another size.

The rear sprocket says 45 teeth. I havent checked the front yet.

When im going on 4th gear at 4000 rpm the bike will have a speed of 80KM/H (49mph). Do you think this is the standard gearing?

It doesnt feel good to use 5th gear below 85-90KM, the rpm is low, though Im not sure what rpm this bike can go at while cruising? 2-3000rpm is ok?

it should be 15-45.

I didn't use my 5th gear under 100km/t as I felt it wasn't running smooth. Dont know the english word for when a bike strugles when you try to rev it in to high a gear.

I've geared mine down to 14-45 so that i can use my 5th gear on the highway.
