Xt600e light front end when loaded...
Hi after taking my new xt for a spin up to Wales and back, I found it really uncomfortable due to the front end feeling very loose and not planted.
I had weight on the back which I would have thought is the problem although, I didnt have as much weight as when I was on my trip to mongolia with another xt. I didnt have much of a problem with the other xt... Whats the solution? Putting weight on the front? Lowering the front end down the fork stanchions slightly? The only difference between the 2 xts is that the old one had the acerbis tank and my new one doesnt (yet) I look forward to your replies thanks |
Never had that problem even with passenger, maybe you need to tighten the rear spring a little?

Hi
I would check the rear swingarm bushings for play. If they are worn out then the bike will wobble, it feels like the stearing is bad. Do a quick search on google or youtube. And you will find plenty of info on how to check it. In short, you raise the back wheel so it is hanging free. Then you twist the wheel and swing arm from side to side and up/down. Any play... clonk clonk Etc. It put in Wilbers suspension on my bike xt 600 3aj . It is like new bike |
Thanks guys for all the information, I will be investigating this weekend and I will report back so people can benefit from the information.

Its a fork brace, but that is no Xt600e.... Looks like TT model.

SuperBrace - The Ultimate Motorcycle Fork Stabilizer
I understand the problem is front wheel raise, not stablilty problem? Offc you can make this brace with 10kg and front stay down. |
