XT600E rear brake disc
 

Hi all!

Does anyone know if there is enough clearance to fit a 230mm rear brake disc rotor on to the XT's rear wheel and not touch the top of the inside of the brake caliper?

The stock rear rotor is 220mm... so a 5mm clearance from the edge of the brake disc to the top of inside brake caliper is all I need to know..

Can anyone help me out?

Vando, you can't use a 5mm bigger radius disk... to use it you will need a different caliper mount. Otherwise when the disk get older you will have a 5 mm side band on it... Anyway the disc will probably cut the small spring that keeps the pads open... (happened to me with the front disk 5 mm bigger, that's why I know the problem) So I bought a new caliper mount, but with rear it's not so easy I suppose :(
